Council for Student Achievement in Music and Performing Arts
TEACHER CERTIFICATION
OVERVIEW
The CSAMPA Teacher Certification program is for teachers of students of any age and level in music, art, dance, musical theatre, and other performing arts, in private or group settings. The Certification Program is based upon a multi-step set of standards defining what a competent music and performing arts teacher should know and be able to do.
The program is designed to identify, equip, assess, and approve qualified educators who demonstrate instructional competence, professional ethics, leadership, and a commitment to student development.
Our certification pathway combines educational and experiential preparation, ethical accountability, and continuing professional growth aligned with recognized educator preparation practices in the United States.
With the completion of these standards, applicants are awarded the CSAMPA Certification credential.
